To arrange a chauffeur pickup at Heathrow, send your flight number, travel date, arrival terminal, destination, passenger count and luggage details. Then agree the meeting point, waiting arrangements and price before the booking is confirmed.
Why is the flight number useful?
It identifies the arriving service more precisely than a departure city alone. Include it with the date, especially if you land after an overnight flight. Check that you are giving the UK arrival date rather than the date you leave home.
Ask your provider how flight delays are handled and who to contact if your itinerary changes. Flight monitoring, included waiting time and delay charges should be confirmed for your booking rather than assumed.
Where should you meet your chauffeur?
Agree a named meeting point in the correct terminal. Heathrow publishes official meeting points for each terminal. These provide a useful reference, but your booking confirmation should state the location your chauffeur will use.
The airport also explains that vehicles cannot wait on the terminal forecourt. Do not assume a pickup can take place in the same area used for dropping passengers off. Ask how the walk to the vehicle and any parking charges will be handled.
How much time should you allow after landing?
Landing time is not the same as the time you will be ready to leave the terminal. Heathrow explains that arriving passengers pass through passport control before baggage reclaim, where screens identify the belt for their flight. See Heathrow's baggage reclaim guidance.
A fixed promise about how many minutes this will take would be misleading. Tell your chauffeur when you are ready and agree in advance what happens if baggage or arrivals processing takes longer than expected.
What should you say about passengers and luggage?
Give the number of adults and children, the number and size of bags, and details of bulky items such as a pushchair or golf bag. A vehicle's passenger seating does not by itself confirm that your complete group and luggage will fit comfortably.
If you need a child seat or help with mobility, raise this before booking so the provider can confirm the arrangements. Avoid leaving these details until you arrive.
What should the quote cover?
Ask whether airport parking, waiting time and additional stops are included. Find out when any waiting allowance begins and what happens if your flight changes or you cannot find the driver. Save the collection instructions somewhere you can access while travelling.
For an A-List Chauffeur enquiry, start with the details above and explain anything that will affect the journey. You can explore the vehicle and read what to check in a chauffeur quote before making your plans.
